Raise Your Voice: TENI celebrates Trans Voices in Ireland

As part of its work to raise visibility of Ireland's trans communities, TENI is calling for people to take part in its Trans Voices project.

Trans Voices will be published as a colour book and will be by trans people in Ireland. It will feature words, art, photographs and poetry - however people choose to represent themselves. We want to celebrate diverse gender identities and experiences, and represent people across Ireland.

The book will be launched on the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia on May 17 2012.

There are many ways to contribute:

- A short story

- A memory of a day when you celebrated a small victory

- A poem

- A photograph of a place that is special to you (with a short note about it)

- Something that represents you artistically: screen-printing, painting, collage, pottery, calligraphy...

If you want to have a chat about the project, you can contact Orlaith on (01) 873 3575 or Vanessa on 085 147 7166.

SUBMISSIONS:

Submissions must be received by 31 March 2012.

Hardcopy submissions: Post to TENI, Carmichael Centre, North Brunswick Street, Dublin 7.

E-submissions: Email to office@teni.ie

Take part. Raise your voice. Be part of the celebration.
