GENCON

GenCon is co-hosted by The Y Factor (National Women’s Council of Ireland youth project) and the Union Students of Ireland.  GenCon aims to bring students and university society members together to share, discuss and learn about topics facing Feminist Societies, LGBTQ Societies, Pro Choice societies as well as an array of guest speakers and panellists representing different campaigns and health groups in Ireland today.

Topics to be discussed and worked on in workshops and panels include pro-choice activism, trans*, health and heteronormativity.

Transgender Health Conference

The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for health care professionals and students to become informed on this issue, to hear the experience of trans people and the people who care for them.

It will also serve as an introduction to the transgender strand of the work of Dundalk Outcomers & TENI.

The panel will consist of:  Dr Lisa Brinkmann, Clinical Psychologist & Gender Identity  Specialist; Vanessa Lacey, Health and Education Officer at TENI; and Simon Blanckensee parent.
