Dublin Trans Peer Group Meeting

The Dublin Trans Peer Support Group started in April 2005 and is the longest running group in Ireland. The group meets every second Wednesday. It provides an inclusive and supportive environment for those who have been diagnosed with Gender Identity Disorder, who feel they have a gender identity issue, and who are exploring their gender role. Our aim is to provide a safe environment for people to feel accepted and accept and explore their own gender identity.

TENI Presentation before the Oireachtas

On Wednesday 23 October, TENI will speak for trans and intersex rights before the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Education and Social Protection. The presentation is part of the Committee's consideration of the Draft Heads of the State's Gender Recognition Bill 2013. The Committee is expected to invite a series of witnesses to appear before them over a two-day period.

The meeting will be conducted in public session, and will be web-cast live.

Cork Trans Peer Group Meeting

Cork's Trans Group meets at 7.30pm to 9.30pm on the 3rd Tuesday Of Every Month at The Other Place, 8 South Main St, Cork City.

The group is for trans* people and those questioning their gender identity to meet in an informal social setting. Group members may attend in whatever attire they deem appropriate and if they require they can change in-house.

If you wish to meet the facilitator before hand please do not hesitate to contact us on the email or phone supplied below.

If you suffer from a medical condition / disability that may require emergency assistance, please let us know at the first meeting of before.

Talk Trans Tuesdays

This year, the Oireachtas will progress legislation for Recognition in Ireland. We need to talk to our elected representatives through 2013-14 to make sure they support our rights. Each Tuesday, we'll host a Recognition Clinic in our offices. Pop in or phone to find out more about talking trans in your area, get an Advocacy Buddy, and let us know what your representatives are doing to help Ireland talk trans.
