Tell Me About: The Transgender Tipping Point
Presented by: Broden Giambrone , Chief Executive of Transgender Equality Network Ireland (TENI)
Transgender issues are increasingly gaining visibility in popular media but what are the real issues facing the trans community in Ireland? Broden will talk about the ways in which the lived experiences of trans people are shaping the struggle for trans rights in this country. Drawing on experience and research, Broden will explore the challenges facing the trans community and the work that is being done to bring this community out of the shadows.
Broden Giambrone is the Chief Executive of Transgender Equality Network Ireland (TENI). He has over ten years experience working with trans communities in Ireland and Canada. Prior to moving to Ireland, he worked in Toronto and Montreal where he co-founded and served on several Steering Committees of voluntary trans organisations. Broden holds a Master's in Public Health (Health Promotion) from the University of Toronto, which focused on Community Development and Policy development in the field of trans health.
