TENI Strongly Welcomes Revised Programme for Government’s Commitment to Introduce Gender Recognition Legislation

Transgender Equality Network Ireland (TENI) strongly welcomes the commitment in the revised Programme for Government to bring forth legislation to legally recognise the acquired gender of transsexuals.

This is a major step forward in recognising and valuing the diversity and equality of transgender people in Irish society.

TENI looks forward to working with the Government, providing input and collaborating on the drafting of Gender Recognition legislation that will respond to the needs of transgender people in Ireland.
